Where things stand today. The preview is free and no payment is being taken. The $39 described on the site is what it will cost when it opens. Nobody is charged without asking first, and there is no subscription at any point.
What this is
Your Scout reads public company job boards and tells you about the few openings that fit what you said you want. It is not a job board, not a recruiter, not an agency, and not an application service.
What it does not do
- It never applies on your behalf and never sends anything to an employer in your name. Every application is one you make yourself, on the company's own site.
- It does not promise you a job, an interview, or a reply. Nobody can, and anyone who does is selling you something else.
- It does not guarantee a job every day. On a thin day it says the day was thin rather than padding the list, because a list you cannot act on is the problem it exists to remove.
Accuracy, and what it is reading
Listings come from public company job boards. A posting can be out of date, filled, or wrong on the employer's own site, and the freshness shown is the date it was first seen here rather than whatever date the board reports, because those dates are frequently wrong. The reasoning attached to each match is produced by a model reading the posting against your profile; it is there to save you an evening, not to be legal or career advice. Check the posting before you act on it.
The $39, when it opens
- One payment. It covers 90 days, then it stops by itself.
- No subscription and no auto-renewal. There is nothing to cancel because nothing recurs.
- If it is not finding you anything, email support@withmagic.ai and it will be sorted out with you. There is no fixed refund policy to quote at you and no form to fill in. There is also no value in a scout with nothing to report, and charging for silence is not the business.
- Payment will be handled by a payment processor. Card details never reach this site.
Your side of it
- Give an honest picture of your background. The matching is only as good as what it is given, and inventing experience mostly wastes your own evening.
- One person, one profile. It is a personal tool, not a service to resell.
- Do not attempt to scrape it, run it in a loop, or use it to build a competing listings database. The free preview costs real money to run and is rate limited for that reason.
Ending it
Ask and your data is deleted, at any time, whether or not you have paid — see Privacy. Access can be withdrawn from anyone abusing the service, in which case any unused portion of a payment is refunded.
Liability, plainly
This is a small product run by one person. It is provided as it is, and it is not liable for hiring decisions, missed opportunities, or anything an employer does. If something goes wrong on this side, the most that can be owed is what you paid.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes. A change that affects what you have already paid for does not apply retroactively to that payment.
